Buttoning and unbuttoning
Objective: Promote undressing and dressing
Material: Frame with buttons*
Preparation: The frame is placed on a tray or directly in the cupboard.
Execution: The child opens and closes the buttons and thereby learns how to use buttons. Small children will only be able to open the buttons at first and gradually learn how to close them.
Open and close push buttons
Objective: Promote dressing and undressing
Material: Frame with push buttons
Preparation: The push buttons are closed and the frame is placed on a tray or directly in the cupboard.
Execution: The child opens and closes the push buttons and learns how to use them. Small children will only be able to open the snap fasteners at first and gradually learn how to close them.
Unbuttoning
Objective: Promote undressing and dressing
Material: Pieces of craft felt, buttons, needle and thread, craft knife*
Preparation: Buttons are sewn onto a large piece of craft felt, which is a little thicker if possible. Then geometric figures are cut from the colorful felt. Cut a 1-2mm wide slit in these figures with the craft knife. Then all the felt pieces are buttoned onto the large piece of felt.
Execution: The child unbuttons the colorful geometric figures. Then an adult helps to put them back over the buttons.
