Tactile perception

Promoting touch perception and handling of formable materials.

Toddlers are constantly busy touching things and thus training their touch perception. We can therefore constantly look for new ways to encourage them in relation to these skills.

Infants will have tactile experiences from birth, as they are born with an innate grasping reflex. From the 6th month of life, they are busy improving their fine motor skills through eye-hand coordination. Our material is designed to help the child control their hand muscles through pressure dosing, thus developing fine motor skills, preparing the child for learning to write, for example.
Links to pages with mixed tactile perception tray suggestions, sorted by age, can be found on the one hand in the navigation bar above, as well as below. Again, as with our entire site, ages are only guidelines, as all children develop at their own pace.
