Transfer pompoms
Objective: Promote fine motor skills
Material: Spoon, pompoms*, 2 containers
Preparation: The pompoms are filled into one of the two containers. The full and the empty container are placed on the tray and the spoon is added.
Execution: The child fishes a pompom out of the left jar with the spoon and puts it into the right one. This is repeated until all the pompoms are in the right container. Then the containers are switched so that all the pompoms can be scooped from left to right again. This exercise helps the child learn to use a spoon.
This scooping activity can also be assigned to the topic area “motor skills”.
