Letter stickers
Objective: Learn letters, promote auditory perception
Material: Colorful stickers*, Dots markers*, paper, black pencil
Preparation: The child’s name is written on a sheet of paper. Then dots are stamped along the lettering with the Dots markers.
Then choose stickers in the same number and colors as the dots on the paper and write the corresponding letters on the stickers. In the picture beside, for example, there are 2 yellow, 2 blue, 2 red, and 2 orange stickers with the letter E.
Execution: The child begins to put the corresponding stickers on the dots on the letters. A sticker “fits” if it has the same color as the dot and is also labeled with the same letter.
The child can name the corresponding letter while sticking.
Letter roll stickers
Objective: Promote eye-hand coordination, memory skills and letter comprehension
Material: Colorful stickers*, toilet paper roll, black felt-tip pen
Preparation: The alphabet is written all over the toilet paper roll.
The individual letters of the alphabet are also written on the colorful stickers.
Both are placed together on a tray.
Execution: The child sticks the stickers on the matching letters on the roll. Depending on their level of knowledge, they can say “This is an “A”” each time they stick a letter.
