Reading boxes
Objective: Learn to write words
Material: Reading boxes*
Preparation: The matchboxes with pictures are closed and placed on a tray.
Execution: The child takes a matchbox, opens it, takes out the letters and tries to find the matching word to the picture on the box with the help of the letters. In the picture beside, this would be the tree. Afterwards, the child looks at the large control paper included in the package to see if he or she has spelled the word correctly, or an adult looks at it. Then all the letters go back into the box and the child turns to a new box or puts the tray back in the cupboard.
